Does anyone else think Joe Biden in one sentence away from being called Al?

But Al Haig or Al Gore?

Let’s begin with Al Haig.  The Al Haig Syndrome has been described as ” where someone who is not a top decision maker tries to take control of the situation and begins making bold, flawed decisions and statements.”( Gerard Braud)

– Biden said he was running for president — not vice president — during a Sept. 1, 2008, roundtable discussion in Scranton, Pa.

“Today is the moment for me as a United States senator running for president to put aside the national politics and focus on what’s happening down there,” Biden said.

Vice President Joe Biden  proclaimed on national news that he has told his family that he would not fly, take mass transit or go anyplace where a large crowd may be gathered.

Joe explaining the administration’s effort to distribute stimulus money (my money) to local governments – in which the federal law does not have the authority to force cooperation between states and municipalities:  “”I have not bent the law, but I have let imagination take hold in some places where I think it’s consistent with the spirit of the law. … Is that the best way of saying that? Yes, … I should stop.”"

During his first campaign rally with Obama as his vice presidential running mate on Aug. 23, 2008, Biden introduced Obama by saying, “A man I’m proud to call my friend. A man who will be the next President of the United States — Barack America!”

Biden said Amtrak was getting its share of stimulus money and more projects would be announced in a few days. Then he offered this:

“Look, this is designed, this totally new tunnel, is designed to provide for automobile traffic,” Biden said. “It’s something, as you know, up your way, that’s been in the works and people have been clamoring for for a long time.”  (note:  the tunnel is for trains)
